Trafalgar Square is central in London and is an open area with a number of statues... including Nelson's Column, which is guarded by 4 lion statues (and one of the lions is a main part of the picture book that I got about the city of London!).
Here you can see one of the lion statues at the base of Nelson's Column
(between the column and the horse statue)...
